christmas countdown/service chain: DEC 23 & 24.

DEC 23: "tell my husband i love him!' to be honest i basically tell my husband that i love him a million times a day, but i decided that he needed to [extra] hear it today. he needs some love. so of course i told him i loved him! a million and one times to be exact, and sure do i love him.

DEC 24: i was suppose to help at our family christmas party and wrap presents. luckily all of my presents were wrapped and i was dying for colin to open all of them. so i made spanish rice [from the box i might add] for the christmas party, and it was quite horrible. yucky. at least i fulfilled my goal.

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC 20 & 21 &22.

DEC 20: yes, it was moving day! and i was as excited and stressed as i could possibly be. right after i got off work i went and helped my parents, colin, and the in-laws pack up every single vehicle we had available with all our stuff. it took quite a few car loads to get everything, and we were starving by the time it was over...but at least we got it done! now we never have to look back on Dee Avenue...

DEC 21: this is one thing that i made sure to do! my parents and colins parents both drove up just to help us move all our stuff. it meant the world to me, and i am so very thankful that i have such an amazing family that would come all the way up to cold little logan and help us to move. i just love them.

DEC 22: you might think this is silly, but i figured after all the moving and putting away all of our stuff colin and i would both be pretty beat. plus i know how much he loves Call Of Duty...so i figured it would be fun for him...and maybe for me. i love me some Nazi Zombies.

so yes, that is what colin is doing right now...

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC 16 & 17 & 18 & 19.

DEC 16: i decided since i got to choose everything else that i was going to do service wise and for my husband, he should decide at least one of the days. also, i was kind of running out of ideas when i first made it.

so on december 16th i asked my husband if there was anything i could do for him...and he said there wasn't! the only thing he wanted, was to go to panda express for dinner. so that is what we did! he is pretty simple and easy to please.

DEC 17: i knew we were going to be moving 3 days later, so i planned to pack up a butt load of stuff at our apartment. so that is what i spent the day doing! until i went to work. i was so excited to move! but not to pack.

DEC 18: i was suppose to clean the kitchen and bathroom, but i figured we were moving on the 20th and we were going to need to clean it again after we had everything moved out. our landlord gave us a whole list of stuff to clean...and i kinda wanted to get our deposit back. so i made it sure we would clean it on the 20th.

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC 13 & 14 & 15.

our kitchen floor gets dirty pretty fast, so i decided to put this on the list, and luckily it just so happened to land on a day that really needed it. i will be honest, i had been avoiding sweeping the kitchen floor for awhile, since there is snow it gets tracked onto the little kitchen floor we have and makes it filthy. so i put it on the list, knowing that i would have to do it eventually. and i am very glad i did! it looked much better afterwards.

i was dang excited about this little act of service! i had it all planned out in my head and it was gonna be perfect. although it didn't go exactly as planned...it was still wonderful.

i saw an adorable idea for a "polar express car ride" on pinterest and wanted to do it with my husband. i was going to print out tickets for each of us for "the polar express" force my husband into some pjs' [which isn't that hard], make us both delicious hot chocolate with whip cream, put him in the car and drive around looking at all the christmas lights while listening to christmas music. that is exactly what we did!
[except i didn't have time to print out tickets, for one i was out of ink, and the other...we didn't do it on the 14th because we were going to be out of town. but it got done anyway.]

looking at christmas lights is my favorite thing on earth. the hot chocolate, christmas music, and the fact that is was snowing made it even more magical. i have the best husband on earth, just so you know. he even drove us around all night because he knew how much i loved it. i love that man.

i counted making my husband hot chocolate on our 'polar express' date for this day as well...

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC. 12.

DEC. 12th: smooch my husbands face! i will admit it is one of my favorite things to do, so obviously i put it on the list. he could use some extra loving! for me it is important to show affection and love towards my husband. i feel like we might be in the honeymoon/newlywed phase forever, but i wouldn't mind it. i love colin more than anything and smooching his face forever isn't so bad [haha]. so i think i'll smooch my husbands face today. probably more than once!

// on the other hand i am almost done with finals! only one more tomorrow and i'm officially done with the semester. i am almost counting down the hours.
// 8 days until we move to our wonderfully new[er] apartment. i am dying for that...but not to pack and unpack in a matter of a 24 hour period.
// scandal is my newest addiction on netflix. i am hooked on all the scandalousness.
// my husband is a hottie, need i say more? i am still oh so twitter-patted.
// presents under the tree are by far my favorite sight of the week.
// christmas is in 13 days. i wish it would hurry up and get here.
// i wish i had more presents to wrap, but sadly i have finished wrapping all of them at the cute little apartment.
// i am already sick of the snow...and we have months more of it left. [yay]

// hows your week been?

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC 10 & 11.

DEC. 10th i cleaned the bathroom. it was well over due for a cleaning and i knew it. so i grudgingly put it off until there was nothing else i could possibly do in our little apartment. after i finished i felt great and i was so dang glad i did it. nothing like a clean bathroom.

DEC. 11th [today! i finally caught up!] i made the bed. colin and i both get up so early to go to class and work that we rarely have time in the morning to make the bed. some days it doesn't even get made...because of my frequent naps. but i love walking into our room and having our bed made. i love when its clean. doing all these little acts of service around our apartment make me happy, and they make me feel better. I love trying to make my husbands life a little easier.

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC. 8 & 9.

DEC. 8th colin and i were suppose to read our scriptures together. it has been something we've struggled with and we really wanted to do. sadly to say we dropped the ball a little bit and we didn't end up reading our scriptures...but we had good intentions.

DEC. 9th i did the dishes! colin and i both hate doing the dishes. we just don't enjoy doing it by hand. we have literally been counting down the days until we can finally have a dishwasher. i knew colin doesn't like doing the dishes, so i thought doing the dishes for my husband would be the perfect act of service. so he could relax and so something he enjoyed after he got home from work! i sure love him, and even though i don't love doing dishes, i would happily do them for him.

christmas countdown/service chain: DEC 6 & 7.

sorry i have been slacking. between finals, works and getting ready to move on the 20th i have been pretty busy! but i have still kept up with my service chain, although i did make some modifications to the days...did i tell you we are moving?? well we are! and we are so excited. we will still live in logan, but we wanted a little bit nicer apartment. also, we have gotten real tired of washing dishes by hand...so we will praise our dishwasher when we move.

so DEC. 6th i was suppose to make a cute dessert for dinner...but we were invited to go to dinner over at our neighbors. so i ended up switching and making the dessert on the 7th! we had deliciously rich pazookies! never had a pazookie? you under bake a huge cookie in the oven, pull it out, dump loads of ice cream on top and devour it. yes, that is exactly how it is suppose to go.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

DEC. 7th i made a 'bomb' dinner...a.k.a. a really great dinner. so i made wings. yes they came from a bag in the freezer but colin and i both love them tons! i was gonna go for something a little fancier, but oh well. we were a hungry newly married couple. wings are fancy, and dang delightful.

christmas countdown/service chain DEC. 5:

i work in an After School program at a local elementary school here in Logan. [and yes it is the best job in the world!] we have clubs every week tues.-thurs. yesterday in the 'Winter Wonderland' club i was working with we made a service chain/countdown to christmas.

you make a chain from now until christmas and for everyday, you write down an act of service. something you can do for someone, or something you can help with around the house.

for today [DEC 5], i am going to scratch my husbands back. Colin absolutely LOVES back scratches and is always asking for them. of course i love to make my husband happy so i'm gonna do one of his favorite things!

i love doing acts of service for my husband! it is nice to see the smile on his face and know that he appreciates it. marriage is all about serving your spouse and putting them before yourself. i worry more about my husband than i do myself, because HIS happiness is MY happiness. it is the least i can do for my husband, he does so much for me!

happy christmas!
