yes it's true. we have moved to the beautiful state of Oregon [but just for the summer.] let me give you the back story:
we had talked about doing summer sales this summer, but shrugged it off and it never really happened. so we didn't go. but it kept coming back to summer sales over and over again. finally, at my friends wedding reception colin's brother called him and told him there was room for him to come and do summer sales. [he was already out in oregon.] so we jumped on board and said yes!
so it was one busy week for us. we got colin licensed on monday, started packing our house and got a storage unit in logan on tuesday, packed some more on wednesday and canceled our utilities, thursday we moved out of our apartment and left logan. we stayed in SLC all of friday and got everything jam packed into our car that we needed for the summer, went to the aquarium on friday and left early saturday morning. then we arrived saturday night after a long 12 hour drive!
so here we are in Oregon having another adventure.
we stopped in Idaho to eat lunch at a delicious empanada place. it was nice to have my left stretched out for once.
of course, of course. finally hit Oregon. i slept most the way, sorry husband.
i am obsessed with Portland, and their wonderful fire escapes. it reminds me of hollywood tv shows.
everything is so dang green here i love it! i can't wait to explore and see Oregon.

- having fun with the other wives
- taking infinity naps
- having chill days
- my adorable nephew whom i love so much. i see him everyday and it makes me happy
- the city, can't get over it

when you told me on IG that you get to live in oregon for the summer, i got way jealous! ohh my it's so gorgeous! and you get the summer weather--the best! portland is magical & how fun that you guys get to have an unexpected adventure this summer. i'm excited to hear more about it & see pictures.
ReplyDeletewe weren't there for very long, but i loved everything we did! helvetia tavern is in hillsboro, oregon (just outside of portland.) it was seriously in the most random spot--out in the middle of these green hills that looked like they were straight out of pride and prejudice. anyway, the burgers there were reeeeally good. really soft. the food truck tour was also a blast--there's like 4 blocks in downtown portland totally dedicated to dozens of food trucks! we tried the grilled cheese grill--and if you're a sucker for grilled cheese, it's your spot! voodoo donuts was a long line, but totally worth it to me. multnomah falls was incredible, cannon beach was a dream (rent some cannon beach "fun cycles", that was a freaking blast) and lastly, we took a sweet tram ride up to a viewpoint of portland. only 4 bucks and pretty unique. holy cow, that was a mouth full. you probably didn't need that much information--but HAVE FUN!!
